Meeting the Government's Green Objectives

ENA is campaigning to highlight the need for effective, robust and cost-efficient connection to new renewable generation sources.

  • We believe the Price Review must be used to incentivise and reinforce this new network development. We welcome new initiatives being developed by the Regulator to encourage innovation in connections.

  • We recognise that all agencies have to coordinate their response to the challenge of renewables, particularly in relation to planning.

  • We want to see the Energy Act deliver on the renewable objectives it has set. We are  campaigning to ensure it does by ensuring a clear licensing regime offshore and that the license process is established as soon as possible.
