Camping_071113_thumb.jpgPublic Safety: Caravanning & Camping

People who use camping and caravanning accommodation may not be aware of all the risks posed by overhead electricity power lines.

Power lines supply electricity to towns, cities and villages. Built mainly through fields to avoid contact with the public, they may be close to caravan and camp sites.

Items which can cause accidents include television aerials, metal or carbon fibre tent poles and guy lines.
